In My Heart

"In My Heart"
In my heart the dark and light In my mind freedom rides A glossary of worlds where white prayer books long shelved are recalcitrant doves held in the palms rosaries bleed a different meaning when lips kiss beads not real feeling just words repetitive, learn'ed blow fish swimming cajoling knees kneeling confessional inward spun, reeling In my heart the dark and light In my mind freedom rides I wait in the grace of fire ignited by light from the past a funeral pyre set sail cast away on tears that make up The Ocean each droplet a world An Ode, divine devotion salty diamonds are sinking like pearls into the Deep wisdom to be found hidden amongst more than all the grains of sand in the Ocean and all the stars in the Sky the heart of a mother the mind of a girl deep blue narcissus reflections in your saltwater are pearls ; In my heart the dark and light in my mind freedom rides I wait in the grace of fire ignited by light from the past In my heart the dark and light in my mind freedom rides (LadyLabyrinth / 2020) Georgia, MY daughter with love, YOUR mother with love, your grandmother, Lynette 18.9.71 d. 18.9.99 b.

Georgia is the author of her own life, these poems, are just a chapter in her journey; my daughter is more than lucky, she is blessed but raw like all of us, evolving, imperfect and gifted in many ways, inherited and definitely standing firm on her own terms. xx
