In My Bare Feet

It is was it is
A treat when I mow the lawn
In my bare feet
Wet grass is the best....

Like being a boy again
Not having a care
Or looking back
For mothers polite stare...

Shoes take away feelings
And socks only get wet
So bare feet are better
For getting green stains....

I'm not a rebel,
for not wearing shoes,
I just love feeling things
Between my big toes...

Good afternoon Randall. The weekend and half this week are gone and this is the first I have had a chance to read. Had so much drama in my life. Really feeling good reading poetry today. Glad yours was among them. Love, Carol
