In Memory of Lee

I lift my eyes to the endless sky, whispering questions to the wind-- why did He call you home so soon, when your journey had just begun? But I believe, I truly know, at Victory Baptist, you found rest, a place to hear His voice so clear, to feel His love, to be truly blessed. Heaven was waiting, arms open wide, your name was softly called. He needed you beyond this world, to leave behind the weight of it all. If no farewell could cross your lips, if time refused one last embrace, know that love still binds your souls, and one day, they’ll see your face. So now I kneel, my hands in prayer, asking God to ease their pain, to let you stand at Heaven’s gate, where they will hold you once again. Alesia Leach © 5/2014
