In Lovely Warmth of Sunshine
In lovely warmth of sunshine, here I sit.
I view nearby a beautiful blue lake.
Around me many birds of color flit,
and in the breeze, the lush trees' branches shake.
Far in the distance, there is an array
of little boats, each one a giant dot
that decorates the water. Children play
along a beach beneath my terrace spot.
I put my pen down just as swooping by,
a blue jay visits me! What a surprise!
Not one gray gloomy cloud disturbs the sky,
for life is roses and bright butterflies!
In lovely warmth of sunshine here I sit.
I view nearby a beautiful blue lake.
