In Love With My Jesus
Roses are red, violets are blue
I am still in love you my sweet Jesus
The sun may never rise again
The moon may never shine in full
The sky may spit the stars
To the spinning earth
The ocean may spill itself
On the only earth we will ever have
And I’m still in love with you
I hide in the bowels of the eternal city
Where my tears, are a million prayers to you
Yet a swimming paradise to Brutus
At whose ferocious stab, Caesar did fall
Yes, what’s fertile falls in fallow soil
The malignant, streams spread fast
Like a merciless brain tumor
Waiting impatiently
To kiss the dust of my grave
It is only proper to settle
For the measly fraction of remaining life
That renders hope an anonymous torso
The more invisible something is
The more certain it’s been around
Like a luminous cluster of thousand lights
In the mingle of life’s melancholy
I will pick my autumn when the last leaf falls
Mystic bubbles will sprinkle my rainbow with color
There will be the days to come
When roses will be blue and violets will be red
As the fires of the evening dusk battle
And the leaves fall in the waters of my soul
Weaving from my verse’s silk, a new heaven
A new earth, a new beginning
Where roses are still red, violets are still blue
And I’m still in love with you, my sweet Jesus
