In Living

In living we awaken slowly
From the dim impressions of a child
All things as if they were eternal
Arranged for us like props on a stage
Awareness increases as does doubt
Is this all a dream or is it real
We speculate, fear and recover
Moment upon moment we live on
We hunger and lust and we covet
We marvel at wonders and we love
We lament our losses and we hope
In living we lose our minds slowly
Impressions are blurring like the child
Eternity will soon be over
