Notes About The Poem

In like a lamb and out like a lion

Come in through the Door¹ of Zion

In like a lion and out like a lamb

“Before Abraham was, I AM”²

 

He’s the Shepherd³ and The Lamb

He leads the sheep through their flim-flam

He’s the Refiner and Refiner’s Fire⁴

He’s Yorkshire, the City that doesn’t suffer fools

                       Or their desire

But He has pity and coming to all nations: The Desire⁵

 

He’s the Lamb to our sheep

He’s the Law that we keep⁶

To YAH our big circular prayer⁷

Who leads us through sin and doesn’t leave us there⁸

 

Walk circumspectly, be aware⁹

God has sent and sends His Signal Flare¹⁰

Call it an oxymoron, juxtaposition or paradox

Christ is all, and both and everything¹¹

Christ is The Key, and gives the keys

             and The One who locks and unlocks¹²

In Like A Lamb

(Remember that no one can assail, but Christ the Candlestand, can remove that candlestand, and can rip that veil, even as Hell will not prevail from His attack.) Matthew 16;18

(“For we can do nothing against the truth, but [only] for the truth.” 2 Corinthians 13:8)

Christ is referred to as both Lion and Lamb (Revelation 5:5-6). In Him is peace (Isaiah 11:6). He will bring about peace as we struggle (with Him at our side, as our Guide) being conformed from the “old man” to the “new man”. Romans Chapter 6
