In Honor of George Michael

Voice like velvet
 Positivity defined
 Optimistic nature
 Enchanting, sweet and kind

An image that's seductive
 Rebellion at its core
 An influence that's constructive
 Charisma that opens doors

A persona that's gargantuan
A force to be reckoned with
 A soul who's enigmatic
 In this plane did exist

You brought us depth and music
And joy and light and hope
 And now we are bemusing
 The loss that was invoked

Thank God you filled our presence
 With your triumphant songs
We danced and cheered while clapping
 And also sang along

Oh, thank you George for everything
We'll miss you for all time
We hope you rest in divinity
 Where blessings you will find

Thank you so much! I saw him as well. When I was a teenager, I got up at 3 a.m. to get tickets to his concert. My friend and I were lucky enough to get 7th row seats!! These are the things that you do as a teenager. This death hit me particularly hard because I saw him so upclose! Yes, the year has been brutal. Thanks so much for the support!
