He rides in his truck; she works in the field.
In his truck, he's king of the long road
Time doesn't stand still, in the truck time flowed
Early morn out in the garden, she kneeled
Nature and God to her each day was revealed
When life got stressed, problems solved at crossroads
He rides in his truck
She gathered the food, prepared the large yield
Cooked their meals, preserved, froze, pickled boatload
She's now home, not in the field, time has slowed
Time for him is sealed, as he keeps his eyes peeled
He rides in his truck.
