In Hiding

Why do you hide
In your clouds of fluffy white,
Don't you know I need you
Every day, and every night!

I ask you simple questions
But I feel I am a bore,
I want you to speak with me
I don't want to feel ignored.

Why do you not answer
Anytime I ask,
What do you want from me
What is my lifetime task?

Can't you ever show your face
Or embrace me with a hug,
Why are you so far away
As I kneel upon my rug.

Sometimes I feel I'm talking
To a vacant sky so blue,
One time can't you answer me
When I'm speaking just to you.
