In Her Garden
The flowers here share space among tomatoes and squash
Cascading colors of red, purple, white and green bursting out
Tinkling bell of flute songs arise to tell all is well
Grace of the chime’s call lures me to the garden’s waterspout
I let bare toes savor cool textures of the greenest cut grass
Inviting a repose, I pull up a chair next to the red rose
Watching bees spread their joy to her flowers in fragrant mass
I feel the ripening glow of red juiciness against skin begin
My body flutters like the leaves of the apple tree
Alive with the energy and calm found in abundance here
I roam the garden in tranquility, completely carefree
Enjoy a garden cocktail full of nature’s bliss and kiss
