In Gethsemane
IN GETHSEMANE
In a place called Gethsemane,. . . . .
A wise man returned to his disciples
And found them sleeping.
“Could you men not keep watch
With me for one hour?” he asked,
“Are you still sleeping and resting?
Look, the hour is near. . . . . “
We are still sleeping and the earth hour
Is a mere token symbol of care
For the home we inhabit, where
It will need much more than one hour
To keep the health of our home in its prime
And our own health as it was meant :
For such a commitment
Will surely take a lifetime.. . . . . .
. . . . As the man in Gethsemane knew
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
