In Faith There Is Light

From whence one came to pray
others followed with nothing to say
His arms reaching out and head in a bow
He called out, ‘where art thou.’

Graciously he lifted his head
Others watched and murmured instead
A beam of light shown down upon him
He called out, ‘let my life begin’.

By believing in the lord he knew
suffering on earth would be through,
those who were silent could not embark
for they shall live with the dark
