Notes About The Poem

In Every Season
January is made of snowflakes and white
Shadows often silence the rain
And breathless praise falls over each night
February is made of icicles and grace
Blessings poured from God’s spirit
And I can feel the wonder of His embrace
March is made of new buds, new prayers
Praise fills the hearts of every believer
Joy falls quietly, inspiring gentle tears
April is made of happy notes of light
Beautiful whispers of what is to come
The silence of the soul who knows all is right
May is made of flowers in full bloom
Red and lavender, softly tinted hues
The glories of summer will soon resume
June is made of seaside dreams and sunshine
Quiet nights filled with fireflies
This is the place where heart and soul align
July is made of stars, stories, campsites
Dreaming of the wonder, the beauty
The fourth of July and the bill of rights
August is made of new dreams, school themes
Passionate prayers who seem to believe
Whatever comes, the faith in God gleams
September is made of silent, dancing leaves
The beauty of a story far better than it seems
When autumn greets the heart, the heart believes
October is made of soft hues, red and gold
All the heart is full of gentle praise
Though summer is over, autumn’s light is bold
November is made of rainy nights and songs
Whispers of glory fade over the hills with hope
And we’re sure that our spirit truly belongs
December is made of scented pines and wish lists
All the heart is melting with the joy of His gifts
Hope, faith and love abide in hearts where Jesus consists
Every year, I see clearly – the glory of His heavenly hope
Because He is love and I know without doubt
He is the reason - love brings, in each season, a way to cope
