In Disarray
Within the echo chambers of his mind
distorted voices battle to be heard,
familiar in tone yet undefined;
connections faulty, messages now blurred.
He struggles to remember yesterday
as memories once vivid start to fade,
ideas chaotic, thoughts in disarray;
the fabric of his life distinctly frayed.
But there within this helter-skelter space
of mixed emotions wildly running free,
just now and then his lips will faintly trace
a whisper of the man he used to be.
