In Darkness
I stood in darkness searching
Then I saw the light …
The light of your face
Shown bright … lighting the way
I can hold back the tears no more
For my strength has left me
Your arms lift me
When from weakness I fall
I pray that I do only
That which honors You
For You are the light of my day!
You have shown me direction
And have given me the way to go
May my footsteps forever
Follow the path You have
Laid out before me.
To climb mountains,
Swim oceans, cross rivers
Be whatever it may.
I know You are there with me
For You are the light of my day!
