Inane mind games confront us
and whilst they do not nonplus,
a waste of time to engage,
in manoeuvres to upstage.
We see now why monks retire
in solitude, for they tire
of such shallow subterfuge,
for God is their soul’s refuge.
Yet if it is so ordained,
our tranquil eye is not strained
by life’s game of push and pull,
for we’re with bliss nectar full.
