In Awe of Her Confidence

She exuded a self confidence that felled us to our knees
If she had turned to look
Or even seen us she might have noticed

We were in awe, wanting to touch her robes
She wore herself in a wonderful way
Amazed, we stared, terrified to take notes

An unaware classic beauty who wore truth
Living her true self aloud, without hesitation or apology
I could not speak, I was transfixed.

My girlfriend tried to get my attention, but I was traveling
In another world where I was she, and she was me.
