In Another Time

In another time I woke up
In a rusty machine"Chrony"
The sky was purple blowup
The land was rocky and stony.

There was no water in the river
There were no trees of any kind
Raw dust was blowing like fever
To blur a traveler's mind.

I caught the steely super-bee
For a million years' ride
But in a passion frenzy free
I lost my inner guide.

I end the story with a note of caution
Never trust a yellow machine in motion.
