In Another Life

Howard University Medical College A red brick building, standing, old. Summoning some prior knowledge? Touching a familiar chord in my soul. A heart of longing elapsed, for my misdirected choices. “Come back in another life perhaps?” Spoke spiritual voices. And as we rode by, in the D.C. sun I answered this “another life” stuff. “No, no, no. You say from infancy come?” This time is good and quite enough.
