In a World So Cold
In a world so cold I close my eyes
For only an angel hears my cries
This life of mine once rained upon
I'll stand alone with time that's gone
In a world so cold some fail to see
The pain inside not only you but me
A whisper of faith strolls in with light
It's all okay and not a lonely night
In a world so cold it's not just a war
Some have been beaten down to the core
As I bow my head and pray this time
I'll ask once more to let them shine
In a world so cold I'll rise above
Life means more with my kids I love
I am not lonely you’ve got it wrong
With all I’ve been through it made me strong
In a world so cold I’ll stand up tall
Beyond the stars I’ll climb not fall
No tears of pain only smiles and destinations
No longer alone I’m here with inspirations
In a world so cold we fight to win
But some cross that line we see as thin
If time stood still for just a short time
I’d still stand tall for this is my day to shine
