In a World of Lies
In a world of lies
Where all you hear is lies
That is what you’ll believe.
But the question still remains,
Why do other’s disbelieve
And seek deeper truths?
“That’s it?”, says my wife, “Tell us more.”
And coming from someone of usually few words
To one usually of more than enough
I’m left speechless.
In a world of lies
The lie lays thick like a bank of fog
Obscuring the dawn.
But all the while dear old Sun
Burns on, until once again
The view of sky is clear.
This is simply the way of the world
The challenge for us
Is to suspend judgement on the day
Until the misty fog of our delusion
Is gone.
“Thank you”, she says.
