In a Picture

Juxtaposed to her charms
I examine my image
as a note of currency
held to the light for watermark
my smile suspiciously pleased
to have been caught
in the presence of beauty
the look in my eyes
one of apprehension
that the moment
was other than real
and won't be repeated
