In a Jar - 1
In a jar of hope
Where joy and happiness
Are planted and grow
To maturity titled contentment
There I left my sorrows and grief
And all the little things
That have caused my heart to bleed
Disillusion, despair, discouragement
In a jar of faith
Where grace and mercy sweeten
My life with inspiration and prayers
Woven through layers of kindness
Where all my time has been spent
Giving and growing and being
Grateful for this journey
Which is taking me on to goodness
In a jar of love
Where laughter lifts the spirit
Teaching me to believe
In the music of breathless dreams
Which carry me through the thoughts
That beckon me to create
From the sweetness of my heart
Complete compassion and praise
In a jar of miracles
Given by the Creator I love
I find gentleness and benevolence
Built on the poetry of psalms
So wise and sure and alive
They dance through my soul
Assuring me that I can know
God is with me through it all
I love the One who holds my heart and soul
In the center of His palm
Where I can always be sure
There is complete love and calm
Beauty beyond any song
Feelings that erase all the bad days
And keep me filled with adoration
For the One who breathes life through me
