Instead of reasoning I yield to a sudden irresistible urge. Impetuously, with impunity I risk injury. Am I an idiot or hero? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Contest: Pleiades ‘I’ Sponsor: Kim Merryman Placed 4th © 25th February 2017

Everyone else, in comments envisioned a hero of some sort...fireman, policeman etc. I don't know why, but I see a man trying to steal a kiss or pat a behind. Is it just me?

Hi Rhoda! You can see from my replies that I kept my cards close to my chest:) Your version is also a possibility, and yes, I would be risking an injury:) Thank you for a most pleasant visit. Regards // paul

To me all firemen and cops are heroes. They put themselves at risk daily to help those who can't help themselves. Great job here Paul. The pic brings life to the words. Well Done. God Bless and a big 7 from me. JB

wow, Paul, I LOVE the succinct way you did this one. I mean, the form is already short but it was even shorter the way you used such awesome long words at the front of the lines. One of my favorites so far in the I category.

you pose an interesting question, paul. to me, in that situation, you'd be a hero to the people you were trying to save but perhaps your loved ones would see that risk very differently (especially if it didn't work out that well for you). well done!

wow Paul! few words meant to search inside for a moment in a form that did not interfere with the overall impact..and a question too! no one knows until the very moment when action is required.I am so thankful to rescuers, volunteer and paid, who run in to situations, when everyone else is fleeing. Great writing and very well crafted :-) blessings, lynn
