Imprisonment

He used to stand for peace, For love, for joy, for happiness. But now… He sits in silence, blankly staring… At this emotional mess, Angrily failing love’s test, Falling deep into nothingness. You’re consumed with fear, with despair, With grief… You can’t even look in the mirror, Cause all you see is disbelief. So disappointed in yourself, You stop caring, For your open health…. So you take all of your stupid feelings And throw them up on a shelf. You know nothing…. Of the tears I’ve shed, Or the many unhinged thoughts…. Swirling around in my head. My distance from you is cold…. Distance…. Cold. And my hand’s become hard to hold, Let the truth be told. I used to fly high, When I kiss you, And even cry, Cause I’d miss you… Now, I thrive to resist you, Cause I’m dying to dismiss you. You took a kind hearted man, And made him feel like a slave, Threw his love into a grave, Yet, still, he forgave…. You don’t deserve him at all, You care nothing… Of the tears as they fall… You stand there as he slowly crawls…. Back to brutalization, back…. To victimization, back…. To the world of isolation, Caused from frustration, See, I am a one man nation, And I choose to walk alone. No matter how hard you try, Or how much I may cry, You’ll never have my throne. I question myself… Am I not good enough? Not tough enough? Not your idea of man, Who most of the time is rough? I don’t care anymore. My feelings and love is gone. My switch of resentment, You turned it on. Don’t get this **** twisted, This ain’t no illusion, And it ain’t no confusion. Just know that as of now, I’m going back to seclusion. Standing on anger’s dance floor, Screaming…. **** what love stands for. So when people ask, What caused this dreadful incision? It ain’t easy to see the vision, When you’re in love’s prison
