Imprisoned Heart

Sustainer of Life
Imprisoned within a jail
House made out of bone—
When lying still I hear you
Pounding on your captor’s wall

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

If a heart imprisoned can deliver a poem of such poignant beauty, how much more if it's free, I imagine the words would just soar, over the birds, over the tree...Simply lovely Valerie! Kim Patrice :)

Your heart beats strong and steady -- may it always know that it is not imprisons but at home in a lovely body! All the best.
