Impressions Are Grave

Unstrung lover broke her beads.
Pearls - black and blue, pure white, cream.
A river of wicked deeds
would release her unhinged scream.

Vertiginous whirlpool’s drunk
on All Hallow’s Eve. Unbent
string and fine ornaments sunk.
Unwound hate and pearls ferment.
