Impossible To Forget Me Not

You think you’re so darn invincible and all that
Well, think again as you’re able, for I’m actually able to do so
I’m capable of almost anything, just saying, you brat
Yet, I am still this same ol' unstable table
Of hoarding-outta-boredom, wretched woe

I am quite a considerate purr of a cat and that – I can’t deny
You are the unpredictable, unexpected woof of a dog
I have the smoothest, softest fur…I’m the color of a moonlit kerfly
You are just a brown, small blur – the shade of a log

It’s impossible to forget me not…it’s all for naught
I fought battles till I curled up in shame
My feet and hands are like led – they do rot
Feeling this same shame again without a name
Delete my progress that would make me give in to temptation
You can’t tame my fires of frustration – luv cuddlez ain’t jokin

You believe you’re smarter and better than me
It’s extraordinary how much we have in common
Oh well, I will prove you wrong as I’m able,
My once-upon-a-time baby…
We are opposite opponents maybe…
Just maybe I will forgive you like He does…
I wish I was the way I was years ago, but I pause
And thank the Lord for me being alive and well
I’m barely getting used to crawling out of my shell
