Impossible Dream

I let my mind set free to dream all night.
This picture going through my mind looked real.
I saw something that was such a delight.
I met a man for me and was ideal.

My dream was like a world I never knew.
A world with joy and love is what I saw.
In reality, the dream was not true.
Everything that I saw put me in awe.

I wish to stay in this dream forever.
As I awake, things will not be the same.
The way that my dream ended was clever.
This type of ending was not one bit lame.

“Just keep dreaming” is what my mother said.
I will see what dreams will come in my head.
