Impatience

Impatience is my enemy
undeniably my nemesis
Holding my serenity at bay
Outside of its border,s
On the edge of its trust
With me at arms length
Patience will not prevail
as i am bound to fail
To fight this condition
i write you a rendition
of this tortured mans tale

Chris, Patience is a virtue well worth working for. And this is one virtue that we ALL have to work on from time to time in our lives. Excellent insight and writing. xoxox Dane

Thank you for commenting on my poetry Christopher. To answer your question as to why I read and commented on yours when there are so many others out there. I have been here at Poetrysoup for a few years. I love reading everyones poems if I have a chance. The title caught my eye on this one. You can become inspired at times from reading the poetry of others. I look forward to again reading your poetry when I can. I wish you the best in your writing endeavors whatever they may be. Love, Carol

When we ask God to give us patience we get trials that build patience. Why? Nicley done on a topic that all of us need to work out in our lives. Keep writing. Sara
