Immortal Love
I want to be a book on your shelf,
I want to be a thought in your mind,
I want to become a memory to stay....
In your old days, when you lean in that chair beside the ocean,
Sipping a glass of wine,
I want the rays of amber sunshine bring you back thoughts that are mine.
I want to be the peace that slowly makes your heart grow heavy,
And then flow out as a tear from your eye.
I want to be the question you do not want to answer,
I want to be the soul that makes you whole.
When we are separated by thousands of miles,
I want to be the longing in your wistful smiles.
I want to be a solution when problems hit your day,
I want to grow on you before moving away,
I want to be your treasure worth saving
I want to be a feeling forever to stay....
