Immortal Cloud
I lie in this bed of sorrow,
what once was loved has become my past.
You said it was forever but once on an immortal cloud.
I may still have dreams, but all lead to you.
I try to smile while holding their hand, they look so much like you.
I have dreams of that kind
May my sorrow reach you in the clouds
Where our flowers once bloomed
I made mistakes in my life
Now you're gone
Forever in this void of youth
You may be here and I'm not
But my wings will always protect you
Even in the darkest of days.
May my presence surround you, even if just for one night
I may have lost my form
But my soul is still attached to you
May my dreams keep you asleep
May you dream of beautiful things
I will sing you to sleep
My dearest I am still here
May the moonlight sway you to sleep
Even unseen, those tiny hands make me believe
That our child's future is great
I wish to be right here, and see it here
My wings flutter again, with my child's little breath.
I may see what I cannot touch,
but I rest there and protect.
I love you both, even when I'm far away
