Immobility
I had come from far,
traveled a million miles,
I was tired and fell down,
the bed was soft,
I lay there,
gazing at the vacant loft,
I lay there for hours,
not willing to move,
in fact I could not,
I had traveled a million miles,
and now not even an inch,
I thought with a wry smile.
