Immobility

I had come from far, traveled a million miles, I was tired and fell down, the bed was soft, I lay there, gazing at the vacant loft, I lay there for hours, not willing to move, in fact I could not, I had traveled a million miles, and now not even an inch, I thought with a wry smile.
