Immersing in Fiction
While immersing myself in fiction mindfully
my perspective is challenged awesomely
being exposed to how God works miraculously
letting me express praises and thanks to Him joyfully
for His sovereign omnipotence, indeed verily
mightier than all superheroes combined powerfully...
With fairy tales narrated delightfully
my heart basks in God’s love shown constantly
midst “they lived happily ever after” endings obviously
believing that the Creator offers His compassion freely
to be experienced along reality’s functionality completely
toward eternity majestically…
When hooked by fables presented humorously
my human nature confesses personal flaws soberly
considering weaknesses along pride, towering hypocritically
lurking boastfully, yet shaking vehemently
seeing own self in vain glory hypocritically
humbled graciously in learning truths paradoxically…
While confronted with science-fiction enigmatically
my imagination is compelled to face events yon pursuits factually
toward delving into “what-ifs” with their possibilities mysteriously
upon paranormal situations of eureka moments wondrously
remembering to go back to “what-now” pensively
as I know that such is a make-believe story projected meaningfully...
Whatever is my reaction to fiction truthfully and honestly
that enables me to enjoy varied existence-endeavors vicariously and victoriously
my faith keeps on trusting life’s Author steadfastly
since He knows everything ---from the start until the end--- omnisciently
while thanking Him for wisdom entrusted to writers tremendously
in sharing their talents to create possibilities and recreate milestones wondrously.
