Immanuel, God With Us
Conceived by the Holy Spirit,
To a virgin He was born;
Worshipped by Magi from the East;
With costly gifts adorned.
He was born in the little town of
Bethlehem,
Just as was prophesied.
A baby sent from heaven—
God’s salvation plan espied.
The baby was called Jesus,
Just as the angel had instructed;
The one and only Son of God;
His child, He protected.
King Herod tried to kill him,
But failed to find heaven’s child.
Although he murdered many children,
Christ remained unprofiled.
With the gifts the wise men gave to Jesus,
His parents fled to Egypt for safety.
God provided protection for His Son
In a far-off pagan country.
God’s gift of a Savior
To save us from our sins;
The greatest love gift of all time;
When His redemption plan begins.
We celebrate this special birth;
The one and only of its kind.
Christmas we call the season—
Celebrated with Immanuel in mind!
It’s great cause for celebration
For He gave us the hope of heaven;
Great peace and joy,
Into our lives forever woven!
Let’s sing our praises to Immanuel—
Our priest and intercessor on high.
Let’s celebrate His birth in Bethlehem
And His resurrection upon which we rely.
Without this miraculous birth,
We’d not know the extent of God’s
great love;
Not realize how much He cares;
Longs for our eternity above.
