Imbokodo

All these body is filled with strength and courage All these body is filled with betrayal and abuse This world called this body This world called “women” Rose from a barrel of madness with courage to stand up from a place called the unknown These body shouted gender equalizing its rights for life “Mbokodo” we shouted “Amandla a Ngaka?” filled in us knowing that we bring about change These body knows it will not die without change We are faced with issues like any other We are women with issues fighting the struggle of equalizing our rights Sometimes knowing that we are achieving is victory spotted in the hearts of those who fought and paved the way Sometimes hope is the word of our truth Gifting us with love and grace When all seemed dark or gloomy We fought for our rights to be matched with those who could not be questioned for change We are the change and we are women Poet Masego Nkuna
