Imagination's Throne

Underwater prisms and rainbows shimmering translucent seas Exotic fish, bizarre shapes and sizes colorful coral grown larger than trees Imagination yields her accustomed throne to phantasmagoria, kaleidoscopic scenes... Yet gazing out my window to at rolling fields of corn at golden grains and sunsets, to simplicity are we born

The first verse is enjoyed by snorkellers, but the second verse does not bode well for anyone . . . .

I hear what you're saying, Rico. The second stanza kind of degenerates into 'whatever-ness' for no valid reason... Maybe I can fix that. Thanks for the feedback. :) gw

Good one, gw. I'm with you. Imagination is a fascinating, wonderful diversion, and we all need it right now.

Great imagery , Gershon, you took me to the depth of another world until the word Cannabis! caught my thought and said wait a-minute :) And a conk on the head is not very comforting I took a spill a year ago that landed me in an ambulance to the hospital to see if I was ok... I felt my head bounce of the ceramic tile.. ouch

Sorry to have brought back such painful memories... Maybe I should change the last two lines and keep the whole poem on the up-and-up! ~ gw
