Imagination Woke Me Up
Imagination woke me up
Spun me on my head, tore off my covers
Gave me a grin.
I drew up my legs into a fetal position.
Not wanting this now.
Not in the playing mood, I glared.
I groused, but my bathroom needs kicked in.
I stomped all the way to the bathroom.
In an angry, mad way,
To let her know I was furious.
Imagination laughed loudly.
Could not stop tittering at my expense.
Made fun of me, cajoled me with her silliness.
Threw pure happy all over my face.
I looked in the mirror and rolled my eyes.
Damn! I said when I saw my hazel eyes catch.
They began to smile.
I was no match for my muse Trixie
Who was imagination charged now, in full swing.
I gave her a pen and she began to write poetry on my walls.
