Imagination

A child's imagination will flow with energy wild and carefree Innocence only they can know Holding visions they can see As adults our gift of imagination We lose that magical ability No longer have the fascination It is lost when we gain maturity A purity makes it feasible Every child holds illumination Making it much more achievable What is needed for imagination

Such a lovely imaginative piece Brenda, it takes one back to pre school age when things was so simple and imaginative. So filled with great imagery and insightful thought. Have a great day, poetry hugs, Gordon

to live in a child's imagination would be a wild ride...some of the things they come up with totally amazes me.... though i agree with Rick, a poet's imagination is pretty wild at times too.... good penning my friend :) hugs

I think Poets have discovered the fountain of youth. It seems your imagination is very much intact. Hugs Rick.

That was wonderful Brenda and a very good reason why I never wanted to grow up, I always wanted to keep the child-like imagination that I had but time does eventually win out. I also didn't want to grow up because didn't want to pay taxes, that didn't work out either. : ) Seriously, this was beautiful, playful and such fun to read.
