She's up early in the morning While the children keep on sleeping Dreaming of homework And teachers that lurk The old alarm clock keeps ringing; His imaginary fever Makes his mom a non-believer Thermometer hot A deceitful plot He's a sly one, a deceiver. Jan. 4, 2019

LOL When I didn't want to go to school I blew a hair dryer on my forehead so that when my mother felt it, it would feel hot...I think she always knew though...lol Nice One, Pixie Happy New Year!

"dreaming of ....teachers that lurk" - yes, I do remember those days, as some gave me nightmares. I also remember hearing about other children warming the thermometer and fooling their mothers. I never tried it, as my mother knew everything. Fun to read, a nice reminder of a simpler time.
