Images of Love
Like a harmless snake
Coiled around.
Soft smooth
Wrapped tight
Yet not restrictive
Unpossessing
Still giving room
To breathe
Like fire.
Gentle tongues
Of flame licking.
Sensuous warmth
Flooding, touching,.
Reaching every nerve
With a hot intensity
Of passion.
Like a stone.
Cold,rigid
Ungiving.
Set and immovable.
Possessing the place
Wherein it stands.
Hardened, unjoyous,
Itself in name only.
Like a comfortable
Pair of worn shoes.
So easy to
Slide into.
Relaxed,free.
Giving movement
Yet cushioning
Every step.
