Image of a Rose
Sometimes its the image,
That is crystal clear,
And not what its projecting,
As you bring it near...
The rose that is before you,
When you hold it right,
Will look like its a thousand,
In a rivers tide...
It's not to disappoint you,
But just a hint of truth,
That you're just one of many,
Still sacrificing youth...
For a moments pleasure,
Just to live a lie,
But time won't stop to measure,
The tears that you will cry...
I've done my best to guide you,
And this is my last rose,
I hope the lord will find you,
In the thousand that you chose...
