I'M the Man On Your Mind - He's the Man In Your Heart
Something,
these days,
is different.
We
touch
but I know
you
don't
feel!
Why-
is there
distance???
We're
standing
so close!
Why-
does
this seem
so unreal?
I speak
your name
with tones
of love,
but you
never seem
to hear.
The signs
are there,
I know
what
I see-
The end
of our love
is so near!
I could
never escape
the feeling
that
our love
was
fading away-
like when
the sun
disappears
and is
replaced
by
a cloud
on
what once
was
a sunny
filled day!
The beginning
of
the end.
Are we
standing
at
the start?
Right now-
I'm
the man....
on your mind,
but
he's
the man....
in your heart!
You truly
deserve
to be
happy,
and have
love
in a life
without
strife!
It was
never
my intention
to neglect
our love,
and
hurt
the love
of my life!
Wishing
for change
would be
futile,
your
heart
has found
a new love.
I know
in my mind
you gave
me
fair chance
to be
the only
man
you
dreamed of!
What more
can I say-
"I love you!",
but
I know
it's a thing
of the past!
I will
never forget
I once
had
your love-
a love
I thought
would last!
For us
there will be
no tomorrow.
It's quite
clear
that soon
we will part.
Right now-
I'm
the man....
on your mind,
but
he's
the man....
in your heart!
