I'M the Lucky One

This happiness I feel, I cannot explain.
Each day is a delight for me.
This joyful intoxication I have each time I see you.
I pine through the long nights we are apart,
counting the minutes one by one.
Our time together passes all too quickly.
Only to leave us fervently wishing for more.
I bubble with exuberance looking at you.
Losing myself in your soulful eyes and arms.
All my worries disappear knowing you are at my side.
A joyful satisfaction washes over me
as you fall asleep in my arms.
I lie awake, watching you dream
and I wonder...
How did I get so lucky?
