Notes About The Poem

I'M the Eagle Owl -Revised

Note to sponsor: (just noticed one word was "off" in a repeated line)

My orange eyes are blazing. Better scram!
Fast and dangerous, I’m the eagle owl.
My wing span is six feet; how grand I am!
Here I come; here I come – the owl most “fowl!”

Fast and dangerous, I’m the eagle owl.
With my sharp talons out, I come for you.
Here I come; here I come – the owl most “fowl.”
Too late you’ve heard my call: ooh-hu; ooh-hu!

With my sharp talons out, I come for you.
My wing span is six feet; how grand I am!
Too late you’ve heard my call: ooh-hu; ooh-hu!
My orange eyes are blazing. Better scram!

Congratulations on your win, Andrea , in the pantoum rhyme and personification contest. Great job with the theme you decided to choose. I have picked this photo 3 different times in the past to write about, it just fascinates me. Thank you for your participating in the contest. Hugs Eve

It is quite intense ... like the owl. You know I don't think I paid much attention to the eye color of an owl until now (very odd considering it's my favorite color). Best of luck in the contest, Andrea ...

Very clever, like a little drama! I like the way you have made that attack sound real ominous for the prey! Andrea, all the best in the contest.9
