I'm The Devil
I'm the Devil, yet I'm also God:
I looked within, and found myself there.
Cringing behind Belief's facade:
I am alone, and it feels unfair.
Evil dwells within my darkest parts,
whereas my ego places me first.
But goodness thrives in my heart of hearts,
for I am both the best and the worst.
Defending good and defining bad;
I'm both free and a religious slave.
And my mortality makes me sad;
questioning what lies beyond the grave.
I'm both the beginning and the end;
a mix of sinner and contrition.
A reality fantasy blend:
I am hope, and I am derision.
