I'm The Devil
I'm the Devil, yet I'm also God;
looking within, I find myself there.
Cringing behind belief's facade;
I'm all alone, and it feels unfair.
Evil dwells within my darkest parts;
my ego always places me first.
But goodness thrives in my heart of hearts;
I am the best, and I am the worst.
Defining good and defining bad;
I'm both free and a religious slave.
And my mortality leaves me sad;
questioning what lies beyond the grave.
I'm both the beginning and the end;
a mix of sinner and contrition.
A reality fantasy blend;
I am hope, and I am derision.
