I'M Thankful

I’M THANKFUL

I CRIED THE NIGHT YOU LEFT ME
THEN I CRIED AND CRIED ALL DAY
I CRIED AND THEN I ASK MYSELF
HOW COULD YOU TREAT ME THIS WAY

WHAT DID I DO TO DESREVE THIS 
NOTHING THAT I COULD THINK OFF
I ONLY WANTD TO SHARE MY LIFE WITH YOU
AND GIVE YOU ALL MY LOVE

I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD NEVER, 
EVER LOVE ANYONE AGAIN
THEN I REALIZED THAT JESUS DIED FOR ME
TO SAVE ME FROM MY SINS

AND NOW THAT, THIS HAS ENDED 
AND I HAVE BEEN RESTORED 
I’VE LEARNED THAT IT ONLY TAKES 
GOD’S LOVE GRACE AND MERCY
FOR ME TO BE REBORN

SO I’M VERY THANKFUL 
BECAUSE I’VE FOUND THAT ONE TRUE LOVE
THE LOVE THAT ONLY GOD CAN GIVE
THAT’S SENT FROM HEAVEN ABOVE

SO IF YOU WANT TO HAVE THAT LOVE
THE KIND ONLY HE CAN GIVE
TURN TO JOHN 3: 16
AND IN HIM YOU CAN LIVE.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." This an excellent poem, and very biblical too. As I am also a Christian, it is very refreshing to find others who share my beliefs, as indeed, it is only through Christ's sacrifice on Calvary, and our faith and trust in him that we can find eternal life. There is one thing you might do, and that is in the first line of the second verse, 'deserve' is misspelled. Your use of all capital letters is a bit startling, but certainly seizes one's attention.
