I'M Still There

Close your eyes, picture me where,
All our memories, are still there.
In your heart, in your mind,
They’re everywhere, for you to find.
I’m still here, I haven’t gone away,
I stand beside you, every day.
I caress your cheek, while you’re asleep,
I hold your hand, as you weep.
You may not have my body; however, you have my soul,
Even though right now, you don’t feel whole.
We will be together, sometime, another day,
I will wait for you patiently, come what may.
So please honey, don’t despair,
Always remember, I’m still there.

I've just realised I haven't posted "I Compose" on here. I will post it tomorrow as I'm up to my limit today. ;-)

I absolutely love this. It is so comforting and I can identify with it, re: loss in my life. Thank you for sharing :)

Sorry for your loss Heidi..... I love to write things that I know will bring comfort to others, just as much as I love to write the fun ones that bring joy and inspirational pieces that bring peace. I lost my Grandfather 7 years ago and I still miss him to this day. Big Hugs.
