I'm Still Standing
I’m Still Standing
Every moment that goes by and every second my thought arise,
To the depth of my soul,
You can talk about me behind my back,
You can slander my name and ridicule me,
But you don't know me, but yet, you talk about me like you know me,
You just know a piece of what I've been through,
You just know a slitter of what I told you,
Love me for the man I am, but don't judge me for the man I was,
Call me a fool, or call me crazy.
It doesn't matter to me,
I believe in a Higher Power who has set me free,
Free from the bondage that had entangled me,
Free from the person I did not want to be,
But yet, I'm still standing,
I'm still standing when I had to walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I'm still standing when I felt like there was nothing left,
Left in this world but an empty void,
But I never gave up,
I never gave up on believing what I can be,
I pushed myself towards the mark,
I pushed myself towards the victory,
I'm still standing with my head held high,
I got a new walk, I got a new talk,
Should I boast about myself?, By no means,
I will boast on the one who created me,
I am being the man I am called to be,
I am being the man who is still standing from now until eternity.
